Staffing plays a major role in the strategy-implementation of our organization. The importance of human resource activities have increased in the modern world, and in order to be competitive there is the need to be constantly administering activities such as wages,  employees' benefits, hiring, firing, and training, as mentioned above:

 

Wages: the national minimum wage will be taken into consideration. However, each employee’s wage will vary according to their professional level, trainings, work experience, skills and time spent in the job.

 

Employees’ benefits: it would be important to provide every employee with health insurance, vacation time, a retirement plan, and performance benefits. It is necessary to get to know each employee, since their necessities change. For example, if an employee has kids, benefits for their children should be considered.

 

Hiring: it is not only important to hire personnel, but to hire good personnel into our enterprise. For us, as a service company, our employees are the most precious resource. Before hiring, we would have a job description published online or in the newspapers, to start looking for candidates. Then, conduct interviews to get to know the employee and for them to get to know our organizational culture. We would not only require professional references, but also a personal one.  Later, we would negotiate the job offer, to make sure it is under our budget.  Once someone is hired, it is essential to follow up with the new employee to know if he or she is the right fit for the company.

 

Firing: this will be necessary when, even after trying to fix certain problem, personal or professional, of an employee, it did not work.  However, circumstances such as budget will make the company to cut or reduce personnel.

 

Training: this part of staffing will be specifically important for Smart Ideas Co. Once an employee is hired it would be a requirement for each employee to have training in their specific area or job task. It could be inside the organization, or with a company that is dedicated to train personnel.
